Allied governments began the Nuremberg War Crimes Trials seventy years ago on November 20, 1945, prosecuting 23 of the top military and political leaders from the Nazi regime for war crimes during World War II, including Hermann Göring, Rudolf Hess, Alfred Jodl, Albert Speer, and Joachim von Ribbentrop.
