Messerschmitt Bf-109E-4/B Werk Nummer #4101 of the 2 Staffel of Jagdgeschwader 51 - 2 / JG51-, coded “12 black” on the ground of St. Inglevert, in the Pas-de-Calais, in France. Piloted by Lt Wolfgang Teumer, this aircraft is damaged on November 27, 1940 by a Spitfire of 66 Sqn above the estuary of the River Thames. Forced to land on its belly on the ground of RAF Manston, he is taken prisoner.
The aircraft was recovered, repaired by Rolls-Royce using parts from other devices, and received the matricule DG200, then assigned to the Sqn (the “RAFWaffe) 1426 in March 1942.
This unit is currently on display at the Royal Air Force Museum in Hendon, in the Battle of Britain Hall
