Two Australians assist a prisoner, who was severely wounded in the leg, near Anzac Ridge, whilst making his way into Allied lines, after being passed by the attacking Australian troops in the battle of Broodseinde Ridge, in the Ypres Sector. The Australian soldiers are Gunner C S Mathias (left), and Bombardier T R Lennox, both are members of the 111th Horse Battery, 11th Field Artillery Brigade.
